Closed-Loop Pumped Storage

Representing more than 90% of America's energy storage capacity, pumped storage hydropower is the preferred solution for meeting tomorrow's energy storage needs. The world’s largest, most proven form of energy storage, pumped storage helps safeguard our electrical grid against blackouts, extreme weather events, and other potential crises that can disrupt the economy and our way of life.

Pumped storage hydro facilities drive economic development in rural communities, creating hundreds of family-wage jobs during the four-to-five-year construction period, and millions of dollars in annual property taxes for communities – funding schools, police and fire departments, roads, playgrounds, libraries and other infrastructure.

Run-of-River Hydropower

There are more than 90,000 dams in the United States, but less than 3% generate hydropower. The remainder are used primarily for navigation and flood control purposes. We seek to modernize these untapped resources into reliable energy facilities that produce power 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
